Is there a doctor in the pub?

Snug Doris in our pub is getting on a bit and goes weekly to have her arthritis seen to by putting her hands in a jar and being stung by bees. Everyone has told her she's mad but she insists it works. We can't look when she comes in after a session and I'm glad she goes in the snug.

It may work but there is an easier way! there are many homeopathic products that contain bee venom that work with out the pain. Also there are honey products that contain the venom of the bee. There are also other things that she could do like range of motion exercises, avoid wearing high heels, and massage.

You what???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bee stings were once used for back problems. It's a terribly painful way to alleviate arthritis, though.

Bee venom has been touted for many years as an analgesic for arthritis sufferers. A new study suggests just how it might work to make people feel better. In animal studies conducted last year, doctors in South Korea found that melittin, the principal peptide in bee venom, blocks the expression of inflammatory genes that can cause painful tissue swelling in rheumatoid arthritis patients.
