Allergy??? Help please...? |
I'm not sure if I'm allergic to any insect or bug bites... but it sure is something! I got bitten by an ant years ago, it hurt a lot back then, but now...I'm left with a little bump where I was bitten, it looks like a mosquito bite, only that it doesn't itch and it's not red, it's dark colour though and it doesn't hurt. The same thing happened around my ankles (only this time I don't know what bit me). It itched for awhile, and gone, and came back again, but gona again. It also left me with a mark looking like mosquito bite, at the moment it's not itchy or hurting. But since this is relatively new, it could come back for being itchy again. I was once stung by a bee and the itchiness came back on and off for the whole year. I don't get fever or swelling or anything else apart from being itchy. The bee sting that itched for almost the whole year was on and off, it was itchy today and it's not itchy for a few weeks... and occasionally it comes back again... and it went on like that for about a year. I kinda think the one on my ankle is having the same reaction as that... hmmm.... It is normal to get pain, swelling or itchiness at the site of a bite or sting. If you had a true allergy you may have a rash on any part of the body that was not stung or hives if you had a mild allergy. If you had a serious allergy you would know about it! People are allergic to mosquito bites and spider bites. It is the extent that you are allergic to them. I would not worry about it unless you are having more of an allergic reaction, fever, swelling, etc... but being itchy for a whole year probably is not good either. Could it be a skin condition (psoriosys (sp)? could you be getting bit by fleas? they tend to bite around the ankles, because they like to bite around white stuff. i get small mosquito like bites when it happens........... apparently it means that you could be allergic to them. |
