What can i do with my hands? |
i was mowing the yard and didn't see or feel anything sting me but something did right on top of both hands. they itch so fierce and i look as if i have baseball gloves on. everytime i itch them they get bigger. i am going to the drug store shortly, what is the best stuff for the itching. aarg it driving me bonkers. and what could that have been. i am sure a bee i would have noticed. Get some lanacain ointment and benedryl. It sounds like you have poison ivy or sumac. What ever you do don't get your hands around your eyes and face. GO see a doctor. maybe it's poison ivy or oak. try calamine lotion (get the clear stuff, the pink stuff makes people afraid of you! not sure to be honest, but you need an anticeptic creme and to finish it of with SUDOCREME thats stuff is magic for redness! Apply butter, it sounds weird but it sure helps. Last time i was stung by nettles I applied butter and I was so relieved I did not even bother going to the health centre. Take a medicine called "Shynistan D"(Take one capsule every 4 hours) is anti allergenic and anti hypovalameic (Anti poison) in case of a Bee have sting you and use a pomade called "Systral" anti allergenic and anti itching with systral you will feel relief and the itch will go away! since it is on the top of both hands it is not likely a sting but sounds like some type of contact dermatitis that you may have gotten from something else in the yard or by a chemical such as filling the mower with gas and wiping your hands off not realizing you had a chemical on them. I did this years ago and would suggest you see a doctor if cool water, ice packs and benedryl do not fix it. probably hornet or a wasp? happene to me hanging clothes on clothes line -- felt like a needle went through my finger -- first thing I did was soak it in cold water -- then I put ice it --- later put benadryl or calamine lotion on it -- oh almost for got the best thing for itching is called Mycetrcian Plus -- Ice and Benedryl. If those do not work, you develop hives or the swelling spreads then go to the ER, especially since you do not know the origin of the reaction. |
