How many nights should our child be consistently dry before we can safely remove all bed protection?

Our child aged 11 has a long history of bedwetting (nightly) but this has recently improved to 2 or 3 times a month. How long should she be consistently dry at night before removing all 'bed protection'

I agree with Julie, I would keep the protection on the bed for quite a while. You don't want your daughter to lose her confidence and security of it being there until you know for sure this is over. Congratulations for being a great parent for caring and understanding.

after they move

497 nights

Really, I wouldn't count nights. Perhaps, parents who pay attention to the slightest detail may be why she is still wetting the bed.

Chill out. I don't know of anyone who wet their bed on their wedding night!!!

Thanks for the 2 points.

I think leaving the protective covering is very smart. I have them on my childrens beds to protect from accidental wets to throw up. I bought a really good mattress protector and it works wonders. Your child will grow out of wetting. Just be patient.

The first night you take it off, the wetting will occur. Who knows, i can't predict the future

I wet the bed till I was 11-12. There was a plastic sheet still on my bed when I left for college. Mom always said "just in case".
