Did you have a bedwetting problem when you were a kid?

If so, at what age did you "grow out of it"? When you did stop, did you just suddenly stop one day, or did you gradually start having fewer and fewer accidents until you finally stopped completely? Lastly, did your parents or doctors try any "treatments" on you that you think helped you stop, or do you think it just went away on its own with time?

I'm asking mainly out of curiosity because I used to wet the bed every night until I was about 12, and all kinds of treatments were tried on me without much help... also I had occasional "relapses" for a long time after that if I was really tired or stressed, and even now as an adult I watch how much I have to drink at night! I was never told anything other than that I had a smaller than normal bladder for my age. Just wondering what others' experiences have been!

The Doctor told my Mother that it was caused by an immature bladder. It stopped by the time I was 12. One of my children had the same problem and he stopped by the time he was 14.

I did till i was 10. Our family doctor told my mom that it was a nerve that goes to the brain that was being pinched in the back. A couple visits to a chiropractor did the trick. Now i'm having the same problem with my kids. It actually has nothing to do with bladders being too small or immature.
