Having trouble not bedwetting? (15) any advice? |
i can't help not wetting the bed. Some of my older patients have this problem. Try doing some bladder training. Try to create a routine where you go to the bathroom at certain times (whether you use it or not)...if the time to go to the bathroom is near and you feel the urge, hold it for a little longer. try not to have any beverages within an hour or so before you go to bed, make sure to get out of bed if you feel any urges in the middle of the night, talk to your doctor for more ideas whats your question you confuse me Set your alarm to go off in the middle of the night, so you can go, and don't drink a lot of liquids before you go to bed. Don't worry, you will grow out of it. Your question reads like you want to wet the bed but you are have trouble trying. go see a dr..i had that problem with my daughter and he said your bladder just doesn't grow with your body...she is fine today she outgrew the problem Theres these diaper type things that bedwetters wear. Its just a phase youll probaly grow out of it don't drink anything about an hour or 2 before you go to bed. you also might want to talk to a doctor b/c most kids stop around the age of 5 and it might be a medical problem. you can also get devices that let you know and help you control it at night. good luck! Do you have a bad family life with one of your parent's? get picked on are do u drink a lot of pop at night before you go to sleep? put plastic under your covers and set your alarm clock for every 3 hours to get up and relieve your self and do that for 2 day and than change your alarm for every 4 hours for 3 days and see how it goes. Set your alarm for about 2-3 hours after you normally fall asleep & get up for the bathroom then. Unfortunately, nothing helped me until I suddenly stopped when I was about 18. Good luck! its better than wetting the bed all the time. you can take meds to control your bladder now days. years ago i had the same problem. i wore those pull-ups or whatever you call em and then i started taking that new pill they came out with. after about 2 years i didn't have to worry about it any more. if you want to stop it, set your alarm for like 11:00-1:00 and go to the bathroom every night. sooner or later you'll get used to it and wont have a problem. I'm 14 now and i can just get up at night. don't worry you'll grow out of it. its nothing to be ashamed about and i admire your courage to put this on the internet! i would have never been able to do that! experience get some goodnites, they will help a lot. you can also go to goodnites.com and join in on the message boards there. if you don't drink anything before bed then try not drinking anyting for like 4 hours before bed. If that don't help set your alarm clock at night like 4 hours after you lay down to sleep and put it right on your pillow beside your head so you can hear it, get up and go pee lol, if this seems not to help then mabey you should go see the doc. try going to the bathroom before you go to sleep... it helps my cousin... see a doc... they prob have like an alarm to tell you to get up cuz you have to go... of wake up in the middle of the night and go. u need to set ur alarm clock or get ur mom or dad to wake u up to go to the bathroom every hour on the hour till ur body gets used to getting up and going in a sleepy state, that is how i was trained to go to the bathroom as a very small child of about 18 months, my mom told me that thats what they did with me and my brother and it worked, we never peed the bed, ever. try it, it will work, and drink that water so that you have something to get up for while training ur self. just a mind problem, would be over within some time.. their is a study that says that kids who wet their bed at a older age tend to become psycho killers just thought you should know. First and foremost, do not be ashamed. There is so much shame that comes with being a bedwetter. However, posting your question here was quite brave of you and for that you should be proud. You are seeking out help for a problem. Good for you. Until you can figure out the best way to conquer this issue ware depends to bed, it's a diaper for adults so when you purchase the a@ your grocer store people will think you have an elderly person who need those depends. i had this problem too dont drink soda AT ALL and go to the bathroom right before you go to sleep try not drinking alot of liquids b4 bed |
