How many days will it take to develop bedsores if I lie in bed, because I don't intend moving any time soon!

good. stay there. just dont make your poor family wipe your butt. i hope you're prepared bc it will hurt.

Well most bed sores come from extended period of time in one position. At elast 48 hours in one spot. With out moving.

Errmm It depends how heavy you are, how clean you and the bed is and if you're going to vary positions....I'd say about 2 weeks, so good luck with that!

Don't worry. You'll probably pass out through thirst/hunger before the bed sores set in, so you won't even notice them!

you need to make sure you change positions often. about every hour or so. bed sores are caused by pressure on a spot.

IF YOU STAY IN BED UR BODY WILL HURT AFTER 3 DAYS JUST LIEING DOWN!!! YOU BODY NEEDS TO CURCULATE THE BLOOD AND UR NOT LETING IT ,YOU HAVE 2 GET UP AND TRY MOVING OR JUST DO LEG MOVEMENT WHILE LIEING DOWN!

hey u better get up and move cos u really dont wanna be getting bed sores they are very sore and extremely ugly and on a serious note they can actually get infected and become quite dangerous so GET UP

i like your style of thinking.. if you get a partner to share your bed you should be ok with the movements you will no doubt be making.. however i strongly advise you not to P*ss the bed so therefore you will have to get up for that reason.. every little helps!!

?just want more and more ponts

why bedsores? Lie in bed long enough and you might just rot away altogether!

you need to be in bed solid for months without moving to develop bedsores and use a bedpan good luck to you

depending on your skins condition to begin with, and if you are properly hydrated you can develpo bed sores in a madeer of hours. as soon as your skin begins to redden that is the first stage on skin breakdown. as long as you change postions frequently you will not develop bed sores.

bout a few weeks

I would think more than a week. There's probably not an exact number of days it just depends on the body.

GET UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

well do you intend to not move at all just lie there in the same exact position and turn, stretch, nothing? If so it shouldn't take too long... give it about three days

Is that all you want to do with your life? I Hope you get them quick then. YOU LAZY SOD!

you are a lazy sod get up get a bloody life kat rot away in bed if you wish but do it quite and find out the hard way Dave
But bless you be good and every thing will be ok in the morning after one nights good sleep

Believe me you really do not want to develop pressure sores iv worked on a
couple of wards and treated pressure sore and they are not nice they can develop within hours of being immobile and believe me people die because of these from infections that cant be treated iv seen a womans spine and the pressure sore developed to the size of a football in a matter of days no matter how much we moved her around and may i add the correct way so we would not cause any more damage to her skin. there are 4 stages of pressure sores 1st being the redness that develops the 2nd being like a graze the 3rd an open wound and the 4th necrosis (dead) if you intend to stay in bed please get up every few hours and have a walk around as this is very serious.

Why not lie on the floor? Give the bed to your mom or dad. they are probably working and paying the rent and could use the rest.

Seriously, you've got to go to the head. If not the bed will be pretty wet and very smelly. The moisture will contribute to skin break down. These break downs are not really bed sores.

What you are hoping to get are ischemic ulcers. They are life threatening. They can start in as little as one hour in a patient who is paralysed on an operating table. When the tissue in the dermis does not get enough oxygen, it dies. Then it "rots" from the inside out.

The smell is awful.

You probably better get up and deal with it, or your butt will start to rot and the infection will spread to your weenie. Wouldn't want to lose your weenie over this would you?

Work it out. :-)

dont focus unto one problem... try to see this for example
