Bedsore question...?

My friend is taking care of his mom in NY, she cant walk, and is incontinent...

Well she has serious bedsores and they are getting worse, we have been googling the subject, and she does have a nurse, i was wondering if anyone has had experience with bedsores/ home healthcare, and would have any advice for me to give him...

Thank you

She needs to be turned from side to side every 2 hours. And she needs to get proper nutrition. Also there are barrier creams to prevent the bed sores. There are things like duoderm that can be put on the bed sore.Make sure she is kept clean and dry.So that urine and feces do not get into the sores.I am a CNA of 12 years. These sores can get really bad if not taken care of.

the best cure for bed sores is prevention. if these sores are already very big, the possibility of curing it is very low, considering the fact that she cant walk. you only have to move her every two hours to prevent them from enlarging and prevent developing a new one
