I need to have surgery to remove excess skin from my stomach after bariatric bypass surgery what can i do? |
the surgery is called panilectomy (forgive the spelling) it is skin tha hangs down from my stomach and causes difficulty walking and back pain cuts off circulation in my legs when sitting i have had 3 infections and had to take double the medication to clear the infections how do i get the insurance co to cover this Your doctor has to tell your insurance company that it is medically necessary to have the skin removed. noo!!!! instead of doing that and have a scar, get into the website and check out this new machine that literally shrinks the skin. from the symptoms you have, you shouldn't have trouble (at least no more than usual when dealing with insurance companys) in getting them to approve your panilectomy. talk to your plastic surgeon about it-they have to document the symptoms you are having in order to explain to the ins. co. why it is necessary. The excess skin removal surgery is a cosmetic procedure-and none of the insurance companies would cover it.Its called- |
