Are there any good exercises for pulling up a sagging tummy after bariatric surgery? |
I am not looking for a miracle here, or a six-pack stomach, but there has to be something I can do to help reduce the amount of skin sag I have going on here. I need to strengthen the muscles under the tissue, right? I can't find any good websites about this. How long has it been since the surgery? After I lost weight my tummy tightened up quite a bit but it took a couple years before I noticed the difference. I do crunches and use an ablounger regularly. The muscles will tone up. The skin still doesn't have good tone but doesn't droop like it used to. Depending on your age, yours may return to a more normal state than mine. The only sure way to address the excess skin is to have it removed. Try www.obesityhelp.com look under Q&A or the plastic surgery section. If it's skin that is sagging, rather than fat, I dont' believe there are exercises you can do to fix that. I've heard that many people who get bariatric surgery have to go back in to take care of the excess skin. Weight loss surgery-like gastric bypass /lap band surgery / stomach stapling and gastrectomy have become very common and very safe now. My cousin got her Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery in India. She has lost more than 65 lbs in 5 months and is very happy with the results. The price for obesity surgery is very less in India. My cousin just paid 25% of the cost she was quoted in America. She got her surgery from a company called Forerunners Healthcare. |
