I am having bariatric Lap-Band surgery 5/22 what is a GOOD protien supplement that TASTES good?

If you have had this surgery I'd like to know how you did & what to REALLY expect. I have spent 2 years trying to get it done & researching the surgical options& decided to go this way because it seems to be safer. I have 101 pounds to lose & I would like info from someone who went this way insted of the more drastic By-Pass.

As far as lap band, I considered it a few years ago before I started marathon training and lost the weight. At the time I considered it a co-worker had it done. She has lost a lot of weight and it has been 2 years, I think she is up to 80 lbs so far. She cannot eat or she vomits. She vomits even sometimes if she does not over eat. She is happy about the weight loss but is unhappy over the fact that she can eat so little. The doc has offered to go in and tweak it a little but she is afraid of changing anything thinking that it can actually make it worse.

No matter how she feels she needs to drink those protein shakes, she is sick of them now, but knows that she can easily become malnourished if she does not.

What I see is a hard long road to weight loss just as with any other weight loss. The fact that she does not want it reversed shows how much better she feels after losing all the weight even though she can gen nauseated so easily.

I would try the Apex, tastes like something you should not be consuming and congrats on the surgery approval!

Good luck with the surgery.. be thankful that you are not going for the gastric bypass.. there are definitely some pros about that surgery but the cons.. if you ever saw the cons that would def sway you from NOT having it done.

The lab band is such a BETTER solution.
