Mom is having MAJOR problems since Gastric bypass?

My mom had Bariatric Surgery on April 20, 2004. She Looks great and until about a year ago was feeling great. ALL of her OLD health problems are gone, but now she has several new ones but they dont know what they are... She has something wrong with the Pancreas, so they think. They keep taking her in for surgeries and dont know what they are going in for and just try to repair her. She is in SEVERE PAIN ALL THE TIME!!! She is litterly having contractions because it feels like something is closing. They are sending her to Mayo Clinic because it is so bad. What do we expect? Anyone had these problems... She has already had her Gall Bladder removed.

liver disease, ie, NASH, hepatitis c? diabetes?

i might also add here that sometimes when they do surgery, if there is any previous surgery and scar tissue because of it, they can be making the issue worse. sometimes what helps is removing the band as well. some folks just don't do good with foreign obejcts and it shows up as pain/infection or just an over all feeling something just isn't right, ie, i'm exhausted all the time, i'm just not feeling "me".....

my mom had issues after hers. it is still possible to become diabetic(low sugar) even after the surgery. also can cause nerve problems. she has severe pain in left leg.

My aunt had major issues after her surgery. Hers were mostly due to not getting enough protein. If you don't get enough protein your body can literally start shutting down and have horrible pains from it. I've only heard horror stories concerning this quickly sought out remedy for obesity(not speaking about your mom here). My sister went and had this same surgery with horrible results, that they had to immediately reverse it because it almost caused her her life! I don't know exactly what these doctors are doing, (besides making money off us), but surely someone needs to be investigating them! My sister has even gained the weight back, as well as others I knew who had the surgery also! THAT REALLY STINKS!!!
