My dad had bariatric sugery and now it seems he can eat as much now as then, can your stomach grow that much?? |
his surgery was about 4 years ago and he swears his stomach is unable to expand, but i've seen him eat a whole bag of cheetos and out eat everybody at the dinner table. Yes, the stomach is fibrous and elastic. Eventually it will stretch out if it continues to be stuffed. Your dad needs to see a nutritionist and maybe a psychiatrist. He went through that surgery to lose weight and it sounds like he is undermining all that effort. Urge him to begin with his doctor. Is he being weighed regularly?
