Can anyone that has have bariatric surgery tell me why? |
the back of my legs hurt and are weak, i'am 4 days post-ops. is this a common complication. I had gastric bypass surgery in April 2005. I started out at 268, now I鈥檓 180 and holding. I was taking 8 pills a day, and after my surgery, I lost my diabetes. The way they do the surgery, takes your diabetes away. I no longer have to take glucophage, and I no longer have high Cholesterol or high blood pressure. I鈥檓 down to 2 pills a day. I went from a size 26-28 to a 16-18. I had a gastroplasty done about 8 years ago and had several other things done at the same time...gall bladder removel, overy removed and other things. I was in pain but never had the back of my legs hurt. It my not be normal and it may be best to contact your doctor about it. Sometimes pain in the legs could be signs of blood clots. I suppose you are refer to the back near the coxi. I had the operation and know many people that had the operation and is normal. Remember the posture during the operation, the pain of the moved of the internal organs, etc is no the most normal think.A heat pack is miraculous. |
