as the first person said it is quite a process, i have had a few friends go through it all, best option is to talk to your doctor and find out from thier insurance billing person, what the process is, so you can follow it perfectly, and that will make it go faster

It is very hard to get health insurance to cover any type of weight loss surgery. It can take months and sometimes even years to get approved. You have to go through several different tests as well as counceling.

Medicare has recently started covering that procedure.. Go to lapband.com and u will find a MD that takes medicare for the procedure..
