Manic/depressive bi-polar disorder?

This may seem like a very odd question, but Im wondering if perhaps anyone could tell me how I could activate the "manic" phase in my mind. As of right now, Im pretty neutral, or normal.. on the scale between euphoria and depression Im pretty balanced out. I enjoy the manic feeling a lot, I become more creative than usual and I seem to have just a lot more energy. Socially, I stay the same.. my mouth wont shut off, but Im just not as energized to talk to random people or having interesting convo's with people than I would when Im manic. Is there a way to start it, or activate it?

Monster energy drink used to make my brain go on auto fire.

I tried today and that just isnt working.

I feel pretty lame right now, no energy : )

I don't think so. That is the wonder of this illness.

The only think I can think of is if you are meds, quit taking them. Why would you want to do that though?

Scary...

nutrasweet makes my husband manic. he can't use it at all. but he is bipolar..... are you or do you jsut need a boost? try some strong drip coffee or other cafrfine in that case...

Depression has its own rewards.
Mania has its own drawbacks.

Wanting to be other than you already are is neither rewarding nor is it just a drawback.... it is insane.

In response to your question, I have no ******* clue.

--But you should read the message that I sent you.

if you truly are bi-polar, then just wait.
it will come.

I have Bi-Polar and my question to you is-Why would you want to do this to yourself? This condition is not one that you want to mess with. It can set you off like nothing else and it is not pretty. Leave things alone before you really hurt yourself.

Yes there are ways of triggering a manic episode, however they are different for each person.

I strongly do not reccomend trying to trigger a manic episode tho! Its dangerous! A manic episode is almost followed by a depressive episode. The manic episode is wonderful, for exactly the reasons you explained, i havent had one in..well...a long time... Im an artist, and i miss the creative flow that comes with it, but i dont miss the credit card bills or other problems associated with it, like lack of sleep <i usually crash for several days afterwords and then Work is VERY VERY unhappy with me>..honestly its just not a good idea...

Very dark chocolate and black coffee do that for me.

However I've always had a feeling that the total sum of highs and lows you have in a period is constant. If you somehow manage to have a long high at some point, you are bound to have a long low later. Besides being high for a long period can be very exhausting.

The manic phase is just as unhealthy as the depressive phase, and you cant have one without the other. You will adjust to normalcy in time

You need to honestly stay balanced.

Hi:

No, I will not partake in your mania and then to have you to crash into the depths of hell called major depression and who know what can happen.

Sorry buddy, you are on your own with this one.

when i worked with a lot of bi polar people, when i was a mental health worker they all said they also enjoyed the highs. i can understand how you feel but i would not advise getting into a high state, because ultimately you may have to pay a horrible price for this feeling. such as severe depression, suicidal thinking, feelings of worthlessness. the urge to spend all kinds of money you may or may not have, and making and saying things in your life you may regret later. and the toll it would take on you and your loved ones. on the other hand do not let this illness rob you of your life, continue to try to enjoy your life, make friends, and accomplish as much as you can. a lot of people that are bi polar , and on medications are great contributors to our world good luck to you.

Im in same boat.
i dont get out much, Of bipolar.
I try to go to parks & feed the birds.
That seems to help me.
Get my mind off people in general,
