I have no health insurance because I'm not in school, but I seriously need to be medicated..? |
I've been diagnosed with bipolar II disorder, I was medicated at a previous time but things got out of hand and I ended up leaving school. It's a really complicated and long story, and I'll spare you all. Community mental health centers are your best bet in this situation. The vast majority work on a sliding scale fee-for-service basis. Medicad If you explain to a psychologists office your problem, they can discount your visit to their office to initially get put on medication, from there, they can offer you a generic medication that won't cost as much but better yet, Target and Walmart have the $4 drug lists and there are plenty of mental health medications on that list so maybe one of them could help your needs, infact I'm almost certain. And all you'd have to pay is $4 a month and maybe $50-$100 for the consult to get the med, call around, see what they say. Call your local heath dept. or call a hospital & tell them you need the financial ad dept. There are all kinds of ways to get help or to be taken advantage of & get no for your answer. Stay determined you will get the right people to help you. It's important to stay focused on the positive. You will get help! call your local DHR or DFACS office. They can help you get on Medicaid...also, the county you live in should have a mental health department which offers counseling and medication to those who cannot otherwise afford it. Be aware that they have guidelines for those counseling meetings, and if you don't attend them, they will not supply you with meds. So if you want the help, be willing to do what they require. check and see if there is a mental health clinic in your area. We have one here and it is wonderful for helping with this sort of thing. I go myself (for Adult ADD) and I get my meds all for free along with couseling. Try calling a helpline in your phone book to locate a clinic if you need help finding one. Oh and the one here go by income. Easy question,no.Not solvable question,no.Check out this information, your answer might be here.http://health-insurance.expert-tip.info/... I am an uninsured adult and went to County Pysch Services for help. I got free meds, free therapist, and free support. Granted it is not as good as what you would get with paid insurance but at least this way you have some meds in your system to help you. Blessings. |
