I have been experiencing some bladder problems for a couple of years now that keep getting progressively worse

My symptoms include:
Frequent urination (getting up between 1 and 3 times during the night), Feeling as though I still have to urinate after going to the bathroom, needing to use the bathroom as soon as I drink something or as soon as any pressure is placed on my bladder/abdomen area or after sexual intercourse, bloating, and pain when I don't go to the bathroom when I first get the urge to. I have been tested for urinary and vaginal infections various times all with negative results. I have been tested for stds and I am not pregnant. I am a nutrition student so I understand the effect diet can have on this. I eat a generally healthy well-balanced diet with lots of water. One thing that definitely contributes to my problems is my high amount of stress and my anxiety disorder. I am going to see a urologist but they did not have any openings until next month so in the mean time I would appreciate any credible feedback. Thank you.

I have no history of kidney stones. As a child I chronic and severe bladder infections that decreased in frequency as I got older. However, I haven't had an infection in years. infections Also I forgot to mention that I feel dehydrated most of the time. Could this be Interstitial Cystitis?

Depending on your age, your weight and how many children you have had, your bladder may have "slipped" and needs tacked back into place. But if none of those things apply to you, it very well could be interstitial cystitis.

See if this website will help you until your appt rolls around:

Any history of kidney stones or urinary tract infections?

My daughter is very hyper, also a form of physical stress. The doctor has her doing 'exercises' to gain more control over her bladder activity. She was instructed to start and stop her urine flow when going to the bathroom. Also, she is not to drink for one to two hours before bedtime. This has given her some muscular control. This will help you until you see the urologist.

by having utis as a child it could have caused damage to your kidneys. They should do a renal scan when you see a urologist. You may also should see a neurologist to make sure you don't have spina bifida occulta.
