What do you think is worse for someone's overall long term health?

A) eating regular, well-balanced, healthy meals but experiencing frequent binges of high fat, extremely unhealthy foods which are immediately purged via vomiting
or
B) eating regular, well-balanced, healthy meals but experiencing frequent binges of high fat, extremely unhealthy foods and digesting them?
(I understand that neither choice is good for one's health and both are indicative of an eating disorder, but I've been wondering if it would take more of a toll on one's body to purge the junk or to digest it and experience consequent weight gain and other health problems.)

Absolutely A. Purging causes all kinds of problems. It will destroy your esophagus over the long term. Do you want to be tube fed in the future?

Not to mention, the acid from frequent purging eats your teeth. Report It

Option A presents more immediate dangers. Purging can result in a fatal electrolyte imbalance at ANY time. The physical ramifications of frequent binging (e.g., weight gain, cholesterol issues), can be rectified later.

A is worse. Look up the effects of bulimia.

Look, if one thing doesn't get you, something else will. No one gets out of this life alive. Eat everything in moderation. That is what I do, and what I recommend. Sometimes people worry so much about death and diseases that they are totally consumed by it, and have NO time for living.

The worst you can do begins without regular exercise. Then eating recklessly on a regular basis. I will add that sleeping little and or going to bed late combined with excess alcohol abuse will certainly play into risk factors that can come to bite you in your 50's and up.
The young gamble with their health much too often. Proper health maintence is the key to living a clean and fulfilling life without any of the baggage poor health habits.
