Medicine question? |
i have been given diazepam 2mg and naproxen tablets for a jaw muscle spasm then i was given metronidazole 200mg one twice aday for 5 days for bacterial vaginosis will this be alright to take all these tablets together cause i seem to still have bacterial vaginosis If these medications went meant to be taken together your doctor would not have prescribed them to you at the same time. But if I were you I would take the two medications for the muscle spasms together and the metronidazole at noon and night since its twice daily. If your other pills are once daily then take them in the morning, that's what we do in the hospital. not gonna lie ........sounds rough. Yes, it will be safe to take all three at the same time. The diazepam and naproxen sodium are both muscle relaxants with anti-inflammatory properties, and won't interfere at all with the antibiotic. Just take them as directed. I recommend you take the naproxen with some milk or food to pad the stomach, as it can make you quesy otherwise. You can take the Flagyl (metronidazole) at the same time, since it's often easier on the stomach as well if taken with food. In future, if you aren't sure about combining drugs, ask the pharmacist when you pick up the script. Just tell them what all you are taking, and they will be able to tell you before you find out the hard way. They can sometimes call and have a script changed if needed as well. it is safe to take them all at the same time. it won't do you any harm. it mightbe best to spread the out of an hour to avoid upset stomach. it flagyl didn't stop your infection, go back to your doc and get something a little stronger like levaquin or cipro. You should be fine to taake these drugs together - shouldn't interract. You should ask your Dr, or pharmacist if they're compatible together. It might be that you needed to have more than a five |
