Is there a medical condition in which a woman's period is delayed, but cramping etc starts as normal?

i am two weeks late starting my period, but i started having cramps at the normal time. also, i've had other symptoms such as sore breasts and being tired. i just barely started to almost spot today. i am in the middle of being treated for bacterial vaginosis, and several months ago i had trichomonas (don't know if any of this is relavent). also, this is my first cycle off the pill, so i'm thinking that would be most likely to be affecting it. but the fact that i've been cramping for over 2 weeks doesn't seem right. could it be a sign of a condition, or is it just my body trying to get itself back on track after being on the pill for over a year? why the cramping for so long? (& it's not severe or anything, just normal cramps) anyone know?

definitely not pregnant -- i thought i was but the blood test was negative. i had a faint pos home test, but i looked later & it was close to expiring and may not have been stored ideally.

First of all, I must stress...use condoms!
the std's can play a major part in your menses not showing, not to mention the chances of ruining your fertility.
Your period can be irregular for several months after going off the pill. Normally I'd just leave it at that, but since your being treated for vaginosis, I'd make another trip to the doc just to make sure there isn't something else going on there.

the pill can do this...
but you might want to think about taking a pregnancy test just to be sure.
