Having abdominal pain after intercourse: Any Ideas what鈥檚 going on? |
After my husband and I have intercourse I have abdominal pain. I have been treated for bacterial vaginosis for 6 months now. I have told the doctor about the pain he checked me out, and said there is nothing wrong with me physically and I shouldn't be having problems. (I think he thinks its in my head, I know its not; especially when I'm in the fetal position on the couch) Also, I go to a doctors office that has 3 doctors and 2 practioners. I have seen all of them for the BV. They all have said BV is not transmittable from woman to man or man to woman just woman to woman. I have only had sex with my husband and he is very gentle. Also, I only have sex during the one or two weeks I actually have no BV symtoms (the doctor(s) said this should be fine and should not cause me any problems). Sound's like you have Endometriosis- I have/& had it- they will tell you it's all in your head (tha pain) When I was 16yrs. I remember being in a fetal position,PAIN, could'nt even scream for mom, it hurt sooo bad! Call this # it's the Endometriosis association's # 1-414-355-2200, They'll help you find a Dr. in YOUR area & answer lot's of your Q.s Really' call them, they've helped me alot!!I also know Dr's who don't know much about Endo. will say it's I.B.S.,Etc.-I had one ask me if I was in therapy! I finally found right DR. maybe you have PID. (pelvic inflammatory disease ) or maybe he is rough with you. if your DR. is treating you for BV., why are you still having sex? you are passing the BV. back and forth and you will not get rid of it. your hubby needs treated to . if not then you will keep getting BV. that can turn into PID. that is a STD. its curable but it dangerous if left untreated. stop having sex. get your areas clean. (both of you) when it is all clear have sex again. you really shouldn't have a BV. for 6months. that's a long time. please get the right help and take my advise have you been check for endrometrious,(not sure how to spell it sorry) because i had this, I've now had hysterectomy. and i had bad pain during and after sex. do you have any other symptoms, like heavy periods cramps etc. go back and see another doctor he sounds like an idiot. your entitled to a second opinion so get one., ask for a scan! Have you considered that it could be a different gynaecological problem? Try looking up different gynaecological issues that cause pain with or after intercourse. The disease I have, endometriosis, includes that as a symptom and it often goes undiagnosed. Try looking it up and comparing your symptoms to the ones in endo. I hope this helps. I get pains sometimes after se x too. I think it is because my muscles down there got a little work out. Just take some advil afterwards or right before. Go to a different OBGYN if you really cant take the pain and get a second opinion. dear human #1 - Get a second opinion, pain is nothing to be ignored. |
