Burning up inside vagina, worse when i wee???

a urine test showed clear but a swab showed signs of bacterial vaginosis? My Dr said no treatment would be required as it is something that will go on it's own, he although have me cannestan pessaries to calm the irritation...Snce then it's worsened and i'm in agony... Has anyone any extra info of this???

Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice. Stay away from sweets.

use vagisil

your Dr's wrong you should be on antibiotics get a second opinion. BV is where the Virgina over makes the good bacteria its not a std.

It could be cystitis, go back to your doctors...

I think that is not normal! You should go back to the docter!OMG i feel so sorry!Get better

It's getting worse? Hmm. It could be that the infection spread into your urinary tract. Ouch. Drink water like mad, pee as much as you can (ouch, I know, sorry), and call your doctor on Monday to update him and see what he says.

you have the clap

sounds like std you need to go back and get some antibiotics

barley water is good too.

You need to go to a different doctor cause the one you got obv. don't no what the heck hes talking about.

Go back to the doctor and tell him about this!!!!
You could have an STD...?

uhm are you sure its not a uti? thats wha happens to me as well. did you ask him if it was a uti?

OMG u cud have a problem!!!!!!!!

its gotta be a kidney infection.and it can hurt like hell when you wee.get a second opinion please.ive had it myself and im a male.not good

Are you diabetic?
Sounds like a yeast infection.
Try Monistat vag. cream while you make plans to see your Dr.

my god dont ask yahoo ppl go to a doctor and explain this, a real one not a clinic person.

Wow, I wish I didn't open this question.

get a second opinion. Also get a female doc. try an over the counter vagisil or something similar. try eating yogurt. try applying cold yogurt to the area. sounds like a yeast infection or urinary track.

Please get back in touch with your GYN. If it is getting worse then it definitalty needs to be re-evaluated. Female organs are nothing to mess around with in my opinion.

That is weird, I had bacterial vaginosis before and my doctor gave me this cream to use inside there and it was gone in about 2 days. It sounds like the things he gaveyou are irritating you more, I would stop using them and call him tomorrow and tell him it is still bothering you.

You either need to go back and have him check again for a UTI and test for STD's or go to another doctor and get a second opinion.

Yes drink plenty of water and boil some pearl barley and drink the water from it. It taste disgusting but it will cool down the fire.

Male doctors have nae a clue when it comes to womens problems.

It will clear up soon but flushing out the acid and toxins is the answer. Bathe in salt water as this also helps.

You have a UTI

There are drugs for it. You need a new doc. I treat patents all the time for that.

well u could have a std but im 13 and started my period over the summer when i started it burned the first couple time even after my period was over. What worked for me was cleaning it with a baby wipe and then shaving the hair off .shave while ur in the shower. After that it stopped hurting.either that or u just need to clean that area out better aslo drink plenty of water

your doctor is definitely wrong!!! if its caused by a virus, then you have to let it finish its course ( i mean , it will definitely go away after 3 days ) but if the cause is a bacteria , then you should take antibiotics to help you out with the infections... try another doctor ...

You should return to your physician or to a second opinion physician. I would suggest that you go immediately to an urgent care doctor or to an emergency room as you could have a severe condition that requires immediate care. Do not run the risk of furthur damage to your health by delaying proper diagnosis. It may turn out to be as simple as a yeast infection, but always better safe than sorry when it comes to your health.

I would quit using the meds the dr gave you for the irritation, if it's making it worse you could be allergic to it. I would definietly go see the dr. again, and get tested for all STD's and infections. and good luck!!

it sounds like cystitus drink plenty of water 2 flush it out and go back 2 the doctors they will give you medication to help all the best

Hi, I offer this advice as a gynaecology nurse of many years standing. Although your urine test was clear it sounds as though you may still have some cystitis type problem. Drink loads of water, at least 8-10 glasses a day to help flush any bacteria through, and make sure you go to pee as soon as you get the urge (so that bacteria are not sitting multiplying in the bladder). There is no clinical evidence that cranberry juice helps and we advise if you do want it, then have no more than 1-2 glasses a day.
I would certainly recommend you take a trip back to the GP. It is right that sometimes the condition does just settle but as it is worsening you do need some active treatment. If you feel the GP is not supportive (& some are not, unfortunately) then go and see another in the practice or you can visit a GUM clinic..they are not just for sexually transmitted infections but can help with any genital infections.

The suggestions of drinking water and cranberry juice are good. Eating lots of plain yogurt with L. acidophilus cultures may also help

I also suggest douching with a mix of water and hydrogen peroxide to help return your vagina to its natural flora. I use an empty douche or enema bottle, fill it with mostly water and 3 to 4 table spoons of hydrogen peroxide, insert it and hold it in for about a minute and then let it out. If you do this for 3 or 4 days in a row, it should help relieve the BV. Hydrogen peroxide is used to kill bacteria thats why it works. It doesn't burn or sting.

it sounds like you may have deep vaginal thrush it can go away on its own or some time it can get worse. in your case it sounds as if it has worsened even though you have used cannestan but there are different kinds of cannesten so may be the one you have had wasn't strong enough. or you may even be allergic to it either way your problem is still persistent i would go back to your g.p for further help if you are not confident with your g.p then see a different g.p or the nurse at your g.p.practice for a second opinion. in the mean time try having a relaxing bath as you may find it relieves the irritation while your bathing.
