Tissue paper like discharge?

I stopped taking my birth control about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I stopped mid-pack because my husband and I decided to start trying for a baby. This is the week I'm supposed to have my period, and I haven't had anything but cramps and a little bit of tissue paper like discharge a few times in the toilet after urinating. I took a home pregnancy test and I am not pregnant. Any suggestions? No other discharge or smell. I also have a history of follicle cysts and bacterial vaginosis.

Talk to your doctor. Coming off birth control can mess up your system a bit (as being on it can) so since you stopped the pills mid-pack, it's not odd that you might not get your period at the usual time or that the flow may be different than when on the pill.

Give your body a couple of months or so to get back on track. If you notice anything really odd though, talk to your doctor to be sure it's a normal effect of you coming off the pill.

...and best wishes on conceiving!

Sounds familiar. Discharge of any kind scares the hell out of me. If it lasts for up to a week go see your doctor. It should disappear within a couple of days.

Keep yourself clean, drink lots of water.
