Why do young girls get bacterial infection and there not sexually active?

i have a friend who is a virgin and had gotten a infection, not a yeast but an bacterial one, why do we was teens whoa re virgins or practing NO SEX get it.

It could be the way she wipes when she goes to the bathroom ---We are supposed to wipe front to back! Could be excessive caffine too ---or holding urine too long in the bladder. Many reasons why this happens --and it has nothing to do with sex.

These infections are common and are usually due to an overgrowth of bacteria that already live in the vagina naturally.....could be from fluctuating hormones or inbalanced diet.
