After the stitches come out, is it safe to...?

I got into a rock climbing accident 2 weeks ago when a sharp rock sliced deep into my right knee. Even so, I was lucky and no damage to the bone or any tendons occurred. Everything's gone well ever since I got stitched up at the hospital. No infections, I've been taking it easy on my knee during this whole time, been washing it, applying anti-bacterial ointment, etc.

The wound seems like it's healed well. My question is, after the stitches are out, can I go right back to jogging, biking, and other kinds of like activities again? Does something like the knee need more time to heal before putting the normal amount of exercise stress on it again?

Any advise would be appreciated.

yep, you can go back and resume your normal activities right away. just be aware that it first everyhting might feel stiff and a little weird. if there is any pain then stop because you are not completely healed and go back to the doc.

I wouldn't immediately start running, but maybe fast walking for a week or so just to make sure that nothing else is wrong with it. If you didn't penetrate the bone or any tendons, than you should be fine.

You should be ok, but scars are very senstiive to UV rays. I would cover it up with a large bandage. This will help with the scar not being sun burned and keeping any particles from getting into the scar itself.

i think its ok but u should just take it easy maybe just walkin fast and lite joggin
