Bacterial vaginosis is unlikely to cause infertility. Its going to be OK I think. Most people get pregnant within 1 year of trying. Relax and be kind to your body and yourself. Bubble bath with nice magazine, good quality diet and don't forget your folate acid .

First of all, try and calm down, being stressed over it will definately make your period late. I've stressed about not getting my period or being a day or two late and then I wouldn't get my period for the longest time.
About the vaginosis, you have to take ALL the antibiotic they give you, secondly, you have to avoid anything that would infect you such as a partner, stool or not washing your hands. Try and eat some yogurt to increase the good bacteria in your vagina to fight off the infection. Also, if you're taking preg tests, I'm assuming that you're sexually active... DO NOT have sex while on antibiotics unless you are using a second form of protection. If you're on the pill, antibiotics will lessen its strength leaving you more susceptible to getting pregnant, if you don't want this, then double up on the protection.

If you suffer from recurring Bacterial Vaginosis, you are not alone. Bacterial Vaginosis is the most common viral infection for women in the United States. It is an embarrassing, uncomfortable condition that can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease and other serious complications, if left untreated. It is especially dangerous for pregnant women because the infection can travel up into the uterus and cause premature delivery or low birth weight in babies.

I suggest contacting another doctor and getting in ASAP or contacting your local health department or urgent care center. You should see someone ASAP if you think you may be pregnant due to your history with bacterial vaginosis.

Sexual intercourse can cause bacterial vaginosis form ejaculation. After intercourse be sure sperm is out of the canal by bathing and washing. Try not having any ejactulate for a while and see if there is any improvement. Sperm left inside the canal can cause odour and bacteria which causes infections, such as bacterial and kidney infections as well. Try the withdrawl method for a while or use a condom. Good Luck.

Causes of bacterial Vaginosis:
1)use scented soaps or perfumed bubble bath
2)put antiseptic liquids in the bath
3)douche or use vaginal deodorant
4)use strong detergents to wash your underwear
5)smoke.

Hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle, semen in the vagina after sex without a condom, use of an intrauterine contraceptive device and genetic factors may also play a part.

I suggest:
1)Take ALL medication as directed
2) Not having sex for a month or till you've been tested clear of infection./ When you do have sex pee afterwords.
3)Take very few baths
Do not use bubble bath in less its by vagisil.
4)Use perfume free soaps down there and when washing your underwear.

Put Yogurt and cranberry juice (Low or no sugar) in your diet

If the treatments you have been doing are pill treatment you might try the suppository treatment that has a new tool (tube) to insert the suppository each treatment. Wear and change pantyliner ofter during treatment.

Try not to wear tight pants. Wear Cotton underwear. And after your done treating and you've tested clear sleep with no underwear.

I imagine the stress is the reason for your late period.
