Are there injuries related to smoking?

Are there any reports on injuries due to smoking? I am not talking about smoking making you more prone to injuries but rather getting injured due to smoking. I was smoking a bowl of marijuana and my chest started to hurt and it has hurt for the past two weeks. I've been to the hospital and to my doctor. And I don't care if you don't approve of smoking. It is no different than alcohol - but anyway that's irrelevant I just had to say it so I didn't have to read people telling me not to smoke in all the answers.

Also don't answer like morons and tell me I could get burned... I am talking about inside of my body. I am talking about marijuana, not cigarettes so don't tell me I could get cancer either.

Smoking generally causes damage to the cells of the respiratory tree, or else them to act more slowly. An example in point is the lung macrophage. This cell takes about 24 hours to eat and get rid of a single speck of concrete dust but take over 24 days to get rid of the same amount of tar (in ALL smoked products),

Toxins in smoke also lead to long-term changes in the lungs substance (the parynchyma) that lead to chronic bonchitis, bhonchiolitis and exphesema (COPD).

Whilst cannabis has not been directly linked, YET, as the a primary source of LUNG cancer in a humans, it DOES have a tendency to cause other, worse cancers. Bowel, tongue, throat (nasty!) etc ...

Any one who smokes weeds on a regular basis and feel that they are not harming themselves or worse are helping their healths; are fools, plain and simple. The occasional use of weed seems to have no bad effects long-term.

I personally smoke the odd one, but don't ever smoke tobacco, and I don't care if others do, but be honest with yourself! It;s NOT healthy!

Hope this helps!

I smoke too, so I am not being judgemental. BUT

ANY kind of smoke damages the lungs. If you are exposed to enough smoke of ANY kind, you will get copd. And if your immune system is low, the bacteria and fungi naturally found in the mj (since it has not been processed) can cause infection, particularly in the lungs.
