Recovery periods for various injuries? |
A friend was hurt in an accident last night and i'm trying to keep ahead of the doctors here... It sounds like a minimum recovery time of about 6 months but posssibly a year or longer. The back injury would likely take the longest, assuming there was no paralysis and no surgery was needed. However, this is an estimate and there is no way to know if any complications will occur. When I was 17, I was in a car accident where I broke my pelvic bone in three places and dislocated my hip, I was in the hospital for a week. They put my knee in traction (put a pin though my knee and attached a pulley with a weight to slowly put my hip in place)And then I had surgery where they put two pins in my pelvic bone (right by those little hip bones) the pins stuck out about an inch and then there was a rod on the outside that connected them together. They did this to hold my pelvic bone in place until it healed! I had them in for about two months. I used a wheelchair and a walker that time b/c I couldn't put weight on one of my legs (I don't remember which one) After I healed I was back to normal and live a normal life now. The only thing I have to worry about is when I start having babies I might not be able to have a natural birth and possibly might have to have a c-section!! I hoped I helped and my prayers will be with your friend in a healthy recovery. Good luck! |

My suggestion, go see a chiropractor and see if he can't give you some relief. He may want to let you heal a little befo... You should go to the ER and be checked for internal injuries. Having been around horses, they are very large animals and can do damage to a person even if you think that you are fine. You need to... maybe u have just been playing harder. Make sure you get enough calcium for your bones and protein for your muscles. ...Funny! ...Injuries happen more in the home than anywhere else. I looked over the internet and could not find anything. More medical is definetly at home because we spend more time there than any where else... I would see: -a forward head posture(chin jutting forward with increased neck backward bending)- because it's a comfortable and common posture with prolonged sitting we all slouch. i would ... |
