Can knuckle injuries be treated and heel?

a couple of years ago, with my right hand, i punched an inanimate object, like a wall, and my hand bruised up and swelled at the time. years later when i apply the slightest pressure to the knuckle area, i feel sharp shooting pains, just when apply the littlest of pressure.
the hand injury guy said last week, that id damaged the nerves underneath the skin, and that nothing could be done, and that id have to be carefull if i was to do any sport or contact sport.
this has left me feeling depressed. as im just wonderin how im gonna get this treated??
ive heard acupuncture could help, is this true?
does anyone no about knuckle injuries and whats the best trearment?

You really should have gotten treatment when you first got the injury.

There is only anecdotal evidence that acupunture works. It's worth a try.

If there's nerve damage then there's very little you can do. Massge therapy and physiotherapy may help but really, surgery may be your only option.

go to a hospital and ask for excersise on your hand i did the same thing and damaged all my nerves it took up 6 six months but i can do more thing now
