Injuries....?

If you recieved minor injuries as a baby or a young kid, does it have a big impact on your life later on?
When my brother was still young, (about 5 months old) he fell off his bed. I don't think it was that high but still I worry. Does this mean he is less intelligent than most kids who don't fall off their bed? Also, I might have more than 1, closed the door on my brother's hand. does this affect his writing skills or growth of hand? Please answer my question.

It would depend on the severity of the injury. I would guess most cases of falling off the bed leave no permanent damage and your brother probably recovered fully. The same holds true for most childhood injuries.

More serious injuries can impact use if your body cannot recover fully. For example, I broke my left elbow and now extend it only about 95% of what I used to ... it's not a problem because my joints bend a little too far so I'm right at normal, but I can tell it seems tighter.

The same would go with head injuries, but probably not from falling of the bed. A friend of mine when I was in HS had hit his little brother in the head with a hammer (when they were both very young). His brother suffered brain damage and reverted to a newborn state. He learned to walk and talk again even though he was almost 2 when the accident happened. Most of the damage has repaired, but he still struggles with certain subjects in school and excels in others. The subjects he struggles doctors said might be difficult because of the part of his brain that was damaged.

So, minor injuries don't have a big physical impact on your life later, though serious injuries can leave permanent damage.

i cant tell you personally but try looking on webmd.com it might tell you something there.
hope this helps :)
