Working out..setbacks and injuries...?


Working out..setbacks and injuries...?
Ive had alot of setbacks these past couple months that have strongly affected me working out...ive been sick and in the hospital alot and have had another injury recently..it drives me crazy when i cant make it to the gym bc im afraid ill lose what i have worked so hard for these past 2 years...What advice can u give me to help me despite setbacks and injuries..and have u faced anything similiar..please give as thorough answer as u can thanks...

it is easy to get discouraged when you cant work out as much as you would like to, but do not let your thoughts go astray. when you think negatively the body responds negatively, and when positively - positively. There is no doubt that your body will begin losing the benefits of exercise without activity and it is different for each individual. Be confident. Your body will jump back into shape very quickly when you start working out again. Remember your body is a efficient machine and would rather not do any EXTRA work, that is why most people get a energy boost right at the time of their workout and notice this boost on days that they are not working out. The best thing to do is change your mind set. Dont worry about the GOAL so much. What i do is focus on the present. As long as you get back to working out, feel great about yourself for what you are doing, not for what you are accomplishing. If you like to workout as much as i do, and realize that your body is only as good as your last workout (which i know you do) exercise is for life and what is a few weeks or months off. Just look at it as a short vacation. Good day and good luck
