My doctor's referred me to a dietician and the gym! Does that mean I'm a fat bar-steward? |
Six ft tall and 17.5 Stone. Don't worry about the gym, everyone is too busy with their own thing to notice anyone else. Maybe your referral includes a personal trainer? Plus, you're in the gym which means you're doing something about it, which is a good thing. maybe your unhealthy if you had an accident you've prob not been getting round much so its prob just to help you get back to how you were before. i wouldn't worry too much about it fet fecker We understand why your doc would refer you to a dietician because at 17.5 stone you could be heading for trouble if you put too much more weight on. Easier to lose a couple of stone now than to have waited til you were nearer the 20 stone area but you've been referred to.....a gym?! Shouldn't think the NHS will pick up the bill for membership though. You should check about the cost before you go first. Bit surprised you weren't referred to physiotherapy instead but you didn't say what kind of industrial injury you have. As you've been off work for a year, are you claiming Industrial Injuries Benefit (IIB)? You are entitled to it. Don't worry about the gym it'll get easier each time you go. It's always difficult going somewhere new for the first time - everyone else in there probably felt the same when they first started. Good luck with losing weight and the exercise. no Think of it as a positive, how many people would love a free consultation with a dietitian and a gym membership! Go for it, the new buff you : ) will make you feel 100% better for eating the right foods and getting a bit of exercise. |
