My son is in his twenties and has a weight problem he is asthamatic would the herbal remedy bladderwrack help?

he cannot exersise because of a knee injury

There is no miracle weight loss cure; a lot of illnesses are caused by being overweight and poor health.

I would recommend your son to take plenty of exercise.

If he has a bad knee which I have suffered by personally in the past I would recommend a good pair of running trainers with a thick sole to cushion any knee impact. He could then go and do lengthy 30 minute walks around grassy areas to give his knees as little impact as possible. It would be interesting to know what his injury because if it鈥檚 caused by worn cartilage then I would recommend eating a lot of shellfish or take glucosamine supplements. I would also recommend him to drink pomegranate juice which aids weight loss and helps strengthens the heart this can be bought cheaply from any supermarket costing approx 拢1.50 per litre.

By taking regular exercise such as walking will help your sons asthmatic condition by exercising his lungs.

Bladderwrack is certainly good for anybody to take, but unfortunately It won鈥檛 make your son lose weight all of a sudden.

There is a formula to losing weight, and it is very simple.

Something like this:

If Daily Calories Burned are greater than Calories Consumed = Weight loss
(opposite way round would result in weight gain)

Basically you need to count the daily calories consumed and find ways that promote calorie burning (Exercise).

Eating Lettuce on its own takes more calories to digest than calories gained from the leaf. So eating lettuce will instantly help you to lose weight.

Hope this helps

Can he swim?

His knee will heal faster if he loses weight. He needs to eat less. Then, when he's slimmed down a bit, he can step up the exercise again.

If he is asthmatic then he probably has food allergies. I would bet big he also has eczema. His overweight condition could be caused by his body being "swollen" from all of the allergens bombarding his body. Bladderwrack may work but it seems that he needs a complete diet overhaul. I would first remove all of his favorite foods from his diet to see if this is causing the overweight problem.

What caused his knee injury? Is it hurt or just a painful area he has? If it is an arthritic type of pain this is probably caused by food allergies as well. Rheumatoid arthritis is directly related to food allergies

Licorice, real licorice works pretty good.

Help what? Weight loss? No it won't. Try looking at his diet and portion control.

Have you also asked his Dr about hormone imbalances/
or have they dne tests for that?
sometimes an underactive thyroid can cause us to gain weight...for example my friend has an overactive thyroid & eats as much as she likes & is a thin as a stick!!

Another thing I could suggest is consult this site which is a gem of a site to consult for natural remedies...
I haven't heard of bladderwrack but it doesn't sound too professional (sorry)...
please type in weight" or "overweight" search & look through relevant results.
I hope this is of some help
