How does one become paralyzed from the WAIST down? AKA, Your legs can't work.

Where do you get injured for this to happen? What kind of injury does it take for this to happen? What are common ways this occurs and what is your fate after it happens.

Do you have any feeling at all in your legs?

Thanks!

May want to delicately ask "Magical_Ballons". He/she has posted a question to fellow parapalegics (in the last couple minutes) regarding the condition. She may help.

if the vertebre(not sure how to spell it) in your spin gets injured you can be paralyzed from the waist down

usually when someone is paralyzed it's because either they were born that way or because somewhere on the spinal cord was broken and once that happens, it is sometimes unreparable, this often is found in neck injuries - hope that helps answer your question - God bless!

a spinal cord injury. the higher up it is the more severe. for example if you sever you spinal cord at your c spine, you will be parylized in all 4 extemities and require mechanical ventilation. an injury involving the lumbar or thoracic spine may only affect the lower extremities.

..Don't leave out the most insidious...cerebellar metastasis secondary to a primary breast, smallcell lung carcinoma or melanoma...those don't leave one around to talk about it for very long by the way...
