You get a hot girlfriend, love her, have high libido..but you can't sex?

How would a guy deal with this problem. The cause is weird sexual problems that cause pain because prior injury....so it's like you're forbidden to have sex even though you get aroused and everything. So i guess it's impotence because of the risk of pain, but it's not impotence in the form that your body parts don't function.

I'm wondering how a guy could mentally prepare for such a thing. The guy will have a beautiful girlfriend/wife, love her with all his heart, then naturally you then want to have sexual relations..but you can't. And sure you can do other things that don't involve penetration but still being that you're not really impotent, you desire the full process not just stop midway.
More over, it's not just a problem for me.. girls have desires too, and i guess it's hard for a girl to understand such a problem that almost no other male has. I'm 27 by the way, no gf now and have never had one..but i'm worried if in the future i happen to have one
