Support groups for epilepsy? |
Hi. I need information for epilepsy support groups in M ichigan, or nationally that may provide local support groups for sufferers. I would like to be able to associate with ithers who have my condition and learn to deal with the emotional side of my disorder as well as dealing with physical setbacks. I was diagnosed at age 21 after my first grand mal seizure. The disorder stemmed from a closed head injury when I was 14. I had been seizure free for quite some time, then I began having seizures again, Once in November, once in February, and then one today. I am pretty concerned and would like to talk to others about it. I AM working more closely with my doctor for the last six months or so, so that is a plus but I just need to 'process' things. Any advice would help. talk to your neurologist. he/she is the best resource. |
