Broke nose years ago, now i want to sue?

when i was in the 9th grade, over 7 years ago a person who is two years older than me punched me in my nose without me even doing anything to him, so it wasn't self defense on his part. Anyway after i was punched, yet when the doctors saw it they said nothing was wrong, yet my nose never looked the same. Three years after the incident, my nose looks really weird and now i feel very angry that i want to sue this guy for what he did. As bad as it looks i haven't got surgery and i don't want to have surgery in the future, i just want justice. I also know where that person lives. It's really bothered me because my parents allowed the guy to worry about by telling the cops that he the guy who punched will no to have to worry about paying for the injury. What do you think i should do? i wanted to know if i could still sue him. I need justice because I'm always depressed because of this issue.I look totally different because of my nose and i didn't get justice.

i dont need any money for a nose job. I can easily pay for a nose job, but the issue is not about the nose job, but rather about justice. I mean how would you guys react to a situation like this , if you were me?

I understand your anger. This guy should have been severely punished for what he did at the time, especially since he picked on someone two years his junior. That said, I imagine you've passed the time frame of being able to sue him but also it might be difficult to sue someone who may have been, legally talking, a child when it happened.

you need a personal injury attorney.
i am not sure what the statute of limitations is on personal injuries.
but...you could hire one and find out.
xo

there is a time frame for sueing
your is prb up

I think that you have to sue someone within three years of the incident.

Well, guy, I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations for battery has already run out for this incident. Just for your own peace of mind, you might check with a personal injury attorney. But, lawsuit or not, it sounds like you've dwelt on this incident for a very long time and let the anger build to a point where it's affecting most of your life. From your post, it's not your actual appearance that's affecting you; the "depression" you may have developed is actually the issue. Maybe you should consider talking with a therapist to help you with the anger management issue so that you can learn how to enjoy life, instead of dwelling on an event that's nearly a decade old.
