Is salicylic acid (used in skin care) harmful for breasfeeding moms & baby? Topically used salicylic acid should not be harmful for the mother or baby if it is used according to the recommendations of her physician or pharmacist. It is unlikely that the drug could be absorbed in enough amount through the mother's skin to produce side effects but directions and warnings in the labeling have to be followed. I don't know, buy why screw around with it? this is just an opinion as i am not an expert. |
