How important is it for kids to take care of their baby teeth? |
they're just gonna fall out, rite? just wonderin. Yes, they do eventually fall out, but they don't start until the child is about 5 years old. If you let your child's teeth rot out of there head, many problems can occur. http://www.drspock.com/article/0,1510,54... Lets see my 2 year old just underwent dental surgery extensive surgery it causes rot in the gums and the teeth coming in can cause infections in the mouth and spread them through your entire body in some sever cases get into the brain The habits you learn as a child last you the rest of your life. My girlfriend just put 10K into her 4 year olds mouth to cap every tooth he had! And yes, they are all going to fall out! Too much sugar, not enough brushing! if you dont take care of your teeth (baby teeth included) you can have some major health problems. Also, not all people lose all their baby teeth. I'm 16 and because of non-existent permanent teeth, I still have 2 baby teeth. I had the other 2 taken out a while back because they were dissolving. It's very, very important to take care of your child or children's teeth and gums... Even though the young primary teeth do eventually fall out the gums and tissue need brushing.. Also, if the primary teeth are in bad shape that could effect the adult teeth.. Good luck The minute the children are old enough (about 30 months? to do their own brushing, they should be doing it with your supervision. The other answerers have given you links to good articles; one y'hooer relates her own child's experience. One of my friends recently footed the $3000 bill for her 7 year old niece to have root canals. The child's mom believed the baby teeth were still falling out, too early to begin rigorous dental hygiene. its very important cuz it can affect your adult teeth becuase the baby teeth tell the adult teeth where to come in. If the baby teeth are not there other teeth can move into the space and block the tooth that is suppose to come in. Also your teeth can affect your health even if its a child AND you dont want to get a infected tooth its a 100 times worse if they get a abcessed tooth very very painful and harmful to the body |
