Why is it so hard to lose weight after having a baby?

I weighed 135 lbs before I got pregnant in June of 04. Then I had my baby in Feb 05 (she was a preemie). I have weighed 155 ever since. I dont eat a lot and I get plenty of exercise for sure because I am constantly chasing after her and getting her out of stuff. Taking care of a kid is hard work! LOL. And when I was pregnant I only gained 20 lbs. You could barely tell I was pregnant even at 8 months (that is when I had her... she was a preemie).

I recommend breastfeeding if at all possible.

You need to eat properly so you can keep up with your little one, congratulations. The exercise you are getting is not enough to lose the weight; you need to get a different kind of exercise. The little girl needs fresh air; why not do both of you a favor and go for walks? Maybe the reason for weight gain for some of us is lack of exercise while we are pregnant - that is if you were not overeating while pregnant. Good Luck

the last twenty pounds are usually the hardest to lose you will have to mix up your work up :) almost trick it into losing weight your body is use to doing the same thing over and over kinda spice up your workout try the monkey bars or swimming :)
