Where can I get afford able heath care? |
I'm low income with no health coverage, minor health probplems that will become major ones with out treatment, some mental issues and a new baby... So if something happens to me it's bad! I need something I can afford! saying "affordable healthcare"any more is almost a bad joke....you may want to look @ aflack......good luck....wish u the best As a part-time graduate student I needed affordable health care as well. I ended up finding something decent through ehealthinsurance - Aetna Advantage Plan for Individuals and Families. Hope this helps. Have you applied for Medicaid? This will help cover both you and the child. They also now have "Medicaid buy In" this is for working folks with disabilities/low income that still work, basically they pay into the system a very small co pay but continue to get all the medicaid benefits. Also some states have things like family health plus for low income families. Its hard to say for sure as I don't know what state you are in. I have recently read a book called "Healthcare for Less" by Michelle Katz that can help guide you through this process. It is easy to read and will uncover some inexpensive ways to help you pay for medical bills and find health insurance that is good for you. The book has helped me find some government programs that are supported by my state for lower cost health insurance. You can order it on www.amazon.com for about $10/$11 or go to your local Barnes and Noble like I did and get it there....I hope this helps. |
