My nephew just got out of detox he has been calling a rehab every 8 hrs.No beds call back.we need help now!? |
Hes afraid he will use if he doesnt get a bed soon , we have been thru this a month ago hes willing but the only help is outpatient and he admits he doesnt know how long he can last, He is attending meetings has a place to stay right now, Hi, sorry to hear about your nephew. Hes going thru detox now and the he will have a one year commitment. Its a state program one of the best. Thanx all, god bless . Try calling Healthcare for the Homeless if they have a clinic or office in/near your city. They have lots of inpatient and residential programs and if they don't have beds, they will be able to find him one. Where does he live? (what city) Let him do the out patient program( its the best thing) they will probably give him methadone, wich is the best thing to treat him with right know. A herion addict can not detox on his own without it, and a rehab program usually tries to detox in about 12 days or so THIS IS NOT ENOGHT TIME he may need to be on the methadone for up to a year or so and slowly come down off of it. Out patint programs are the best usaually he can go to a clinic that will go on a sliding scale of incom may only cost 15 dollars a week or so and will provide him with counseling and other medical treatment such as immunizations and blood work. |
