I have no drive to loose weight anymore,?

I had a baby 10 months ago and still need to loose 40 pounds. I would see girls in bikinis and go to the gym and now I dont care! How do I get myself psyched about getting in shape again? I have no drive and eat what I want!!

Set realistic goals that you can stick to! When you set up this total overhaul plan to eat such and such and work out marathon style and then don't do it- you feel like a failure. Start with baby steps, so to speak. Maybe first, cut out sodas and fast food. Then next cut out fried foods and incorporate a fruit a day. Start out walking baby around the block 2 times a week and then bump it to 3 times a week and so on. This way you set your self obtainable goals. And remember, it takes time for your body to adjust to your new habits and the wieght will come off, just not overnight like we all wish. Do the baby steps and the self-esteem you gain from obtaining one of these goals will be motivation enough to keep doing this for yourself!

My sister recently had the same issue as you. She turned her psyche around by reminding herself that she didn't want her kids to have a "fat mommie." Now, I really see this in a different light.

I would say it is good to maintain physique and good eating habits just so your kids will follow suit. So many times my sister is eating a candybar and then my nephew is comes around the corner asking "Mine, mine?" How do you end up explaining that one? Also, I can't tell you how many times I go to the grocery store and see if the mother is heavy-set, so is the kid. I just see it feeding the American obesity stereotype.

Also, if you ever plan on having any more kids-it's a good idea to revert back to the same weight you were before children just in so you can anticipate the weight gain again.

Here's good news--my sister ended up sticking with a training program and she has all the weight she gained having her first born. She looks great and feels great.

Well, good luck & I have faith in you Girl!

You have to be in shape for the kid so you don't be the lazy mom that can't show her kids nothing but eating. Plus when they get to the walking age you're gonna have to keep up
