Anyone have any recommendations for baby blues? An effective natural remedy??

I think I have the baby blues, I feel extremely irritable at times and very fatigue. I just want to know if there is anything natural I can take to enhance my moods, I want something really effective and fast. Recommendations please...

This is going to sound really lame, but try exercise. Low level cardio. 5 sets of 15 jumping jacks or whatever else you like. It will give you an endorphin boost to counter your hormone letdown.

Are you male or female? Do you have the type of baby blues that means you just had one? Or that you want one? I'm a little confused.....

However, I think I can still help you out. St. Johns Wort is great for irritability and is readily available in almost any grocery or drug store. Melatonin is equally easy to find and that will help you sleep a heck of a lot better.

Now, if you've got a baby in the house, I don't recommend the melatonin, only because I don't want you sleeping too deeply that you won't wake up if baby cries.

Also, if you are breastfeeding, you need to check with your doctor before you do anything.

If you are talking about post-partum depression, changing your diet (low sugar, low caffeine, more fruits and veggies), exercising and taking high doses of Omega 3 fatty acids (fish oil)might help. It won't be overnight relief, though. Nothing will be super fast; even prescription drugs take 2-6 weeks to really take effect.

Try to get a bit more sleep. I don't know if you are still nursing and/or waking up around the clock, but certainly being sleep-deprived has a negative effect on your mood.

Careful about taking herbs if you plan on nursing.

Today I'm feeling the same, listen to some good music. Doing the same at present. And it's helping. Hope it helps you too.
