My baby has a blue swollen area on his gums, could he be teething?

Sounds to me like your baby might have bumped his mouth and he has a little hematoma, or bruising, of the gums. Give him a frozen washcloth or teething ring to the area and it should heal up in a week or so.

what i experience with my babies no.when they become teeth normal they cry too much only and they want something in the mouth.

That would be my guess. If you have real concern, or the teeth do not show soon, get to your pediatrician.

He could be teething. Try giving him a teething ring to help push them through. The cyanosis (blueness) is due to bleeding under the gums, so a teething ring should help with the discoloration too.

Just call your pediatrician you could that question. I've never had that problem with my daughter. She cried & drooled alot. If your baby is trying to chew on anything he can get in his mout yes.

Don't take a poll call his doctor.

Blue swelling can be because of teething or can be because of accumulated saliva in the ducts of salivary galnds.Expert guidance is advised.
