Docters/psychiatrists please read?

I'm 19 years old and I had a baby 5 months ago. Afterwards I do believe I had the 'baby blues'. It's been mostly on my sholders, not even much help after the c-section which I am sure added to my anxiety. Now, she is 5 1/2 months and I am a nervous wreck. The father of the baby said that he only keeps me around to take care of the baby because of the way I act now. Regardless of weather he is right or wrong, I know something is different with me. I hate people. In general. There are a few I like but I see so many people in general who do the stupidest and most selfish things. I am starting to become jealous of my boyfriend and I don't want to go anywhere anymore. Life really sucks right now. Sometimes I just feel overwhelmed with the baby like I just want someone else to hold, feed her, ect. Like I just can't do it. I have thyroid disease also and the docter keeps messing up my meds. I am just worn out! I sit here day in and day out with no car, no job, no babysitter EVER.

So... what is wrong with me and who do I need to see. Not my regular doc.. she is an idiot.

Get some recommendations from friends about a new regular doc to see--you likely need more thyroid meds, and you should be on an anti-depressant, too (though being on appropirate thyroid meds might be enough anti-depressant for you).

You should definitely see a psychiatrist too, for the antidepressants and you desperately need someone to talk to!

Go get another doctor's opinion.

Thyroid ailments add too emotional and physical disorders.
There may be nothing more wrong than not getting the right amount of medication.
I speak from experience. My life had always been rather sweet regardless of circumstances I was able to keep a good outlook. Then my thyroid got out of balance. I wanted to cry, scream and would have angry outburst.I did not want too talk too anyone, see anyone. if I could have crawled into a corner and curled up I would have.Thank goodness my doctor did a complete blood panel and found the problem. It took 4 months to get me the correct amount of synthoid but I am my usual self.
You have the additional burden of caring for a new infant, and his father does not sound understanding at all. Please get in touch with a mother's friend's group, mother's day out and find a doctor who will get your meds straight.
If you do not have insurance look or google free clinics. Your baby needs you. And none of us have too go the way of our parents! Our future depends on what we do. be strong and get the help you need.
