Eyes changing colors?

I have always wondered why this happened. When I was little, up until I was about 12 yrs old, my eyes were blue. Not baby blue, they had a hint of green in them, but neverless, blue. Around 12, my eyes started to change to green. Now that I am an adult and done with puberty, they have a dark blue ring around the outside, green in the middle fading to yellow around the pupil. (They are like cat eyes).

they were probably developing there colors very slowly. i think thats pretty cool to be honost. many babies that are born with blue eyes, sometimes have their eyes change over time, like into green or darker blues and things like that....

My eyes do the exact same thing. There kind of like mood rings, but eyes. One day my eyes will be bright green, the next blue, then if i get mad they turn grey/yellow, I personally think it's pretty cool (:

It is known that some illnesses, medications and hormones can change the color of a persons eyes by changing the distribution/ destiny of melanin and lipofuscin on the iris (colored part of your eye). When the placement or density of melanin and lipofuscin change it causes the light to reflect a different color.
Since the change of color happened around puberty it is very likely hormones caused the change of eye color :) Anyways hope this helps a bit :)
