Pre-natel depression?

I'm 17 week's pregnant with my second child (got an 8 Yr old) For a few weeks i've been feeling really really down. I get really angry at things that would bounce off me before. I suddenly have no trust in my partner and it seems everything he does is suspious. I really feel like i'm losing my mind. My partner is very supportive but i feel i'm probably pushing him away and if he hasnt already thought about it he will bugger off with someone else... The main problem is my messy head. I dont think theres any point in going doctors cos i dont think he would be able to do any thing anyway. Its not classic baby blue's i am sure of that, most of the time i feel so bad i just hurt and ache from top to toe. Does anyone know what i can do?

I would say go to the doctor and explain what is going in. I suffered from severe prenate depression. they gave me anti depressants and i had regular chat sessions with them. Be very honest with them and tell them what is going on there is something that can be done somewhere.. don't stop looking untill you get the help you need.

The changing hormones can affect your mood. You are probably tired from being pregnant and trying to keep up with another child. You should talk to your doctor, he could be able to do something to help you. There are some meds that you can take during pregnancy.

Well, it doesn't have a name, but it's very common to have feelings like that in pregnancy. I have had two pregnancies. With both of them I had feelings exactly like those you describe in the very early stages, earlier than you are now. With the first, these feelings returned at around 30-34 weeks. I seemed to get more down every day. They didn't return with the second.

The only answer is to be nice to yourself, and try to remember that these feelings will go away, and that you are certainly not losin your mind, though yes, it does feel like that sometimes. Things may be intensified for you because of the gap between your first and second child. You may be having concerns about how they'll get on. I'm guessing here. Just take the attitude that what will be will be.
