Is there any solution other than surgery for desease Tetralogy of fallot in newly born babies.? |
This is regarding my 10 months baby. The baby is not blue always but get blue at the time of taking bath or cry. She is under medicine Praponol 20 mg per day. The above keeps the heart rate low, but ultimately the baby will require surgery. i dont know for sure but im pretty sure surgery is the way to go,our babies need sufficent oxygen and even if they arent blue im sure they are not getting adequate amounts for theyre little bodies to grow properly. My little boy was born with a similar condition called pulmonary atresia. Unfortunately the only way to fix the problem is through surgery. It is a really difficult time for parents but my 2 1/2 year old has had two major surgeries to repair his heart and he is doing fantastically. He now has a longer life span and a chance to live as normally as possible. He will need more surgeries as he grows but I know he is in the best of care with our wonderful doctors. He no longer goes blue when he cries and has more energy to play. I am thinking of you and wish you all the best. |
